The start of the holiday season is officially among us as we begin to celebrate the start of fall and halloween this month, and we couldn’t be anymore excited. Fall is one of those seasons that brings warmth and comfort with every detail, and there’s nothing more special than bringing those details to your home. I’m totally into seasonal decor with one of my favorites being fall, and one things for sure, nothing screams fall more than clusters of pumpkins, autumn leaves and candles.
Today’s post is completely dedicated to the fall season. I’ve scoured some of my favorite home decor stores for a fun mix of accessories to transform your home into pure autumn bliss.
Fall is all about giving thanks, and you can’t get more meaningful and stylish than this delicate wall art from Pier1 Imports. Hang it above a door or on the mantel of your fireplace. It’s the perfect accent to your holiday decor.
If you know me well, you know my obsession with Pottery barn. A perfect Saturday for me consists of a perfectly cool 60 degree weather, warm Starbucks coffee and an endless stroll through Potterybarn. Yup. Pure Bliss. So it’s no surprise that when I’m looking for inspiration I head over to their website for great ideas and beautiful accessories. Pictured just above is an image I captured from Potterybarn that exemplifies the perfect fall-styled entryway. Because fall decor is so focused on the harvest season, colors are muted and warm. Natural tones from the wood really help to keep color schemes light rather than overpowering.
Another easy way to make seasonal updates to your home is by styling accent tables or dining tables because they are usually a focus in every room. For example, just above you have some simple, clear pillar holders from PotteryBarn. Arrange candles with accents like the pumpkins pictured below to create a simple and elegant tablescape.
Here’s a tip: Mixing metal elements with natural elements like wood or rattan helps to balance the look. Metals like gold, silver or copper bring elegance and a bit of sparkle to accessories that are lackluster. This tip is one of my all time favorites and I use it for all my decorating. Not just seasonal.
Pillows are also fun to switch things up a bit and refresh the look of your home. I’m all about neutrals in my home so these two pillows are totally on my wishlist. Also, I’m all about mixing grey tones with gold, it’s such a complimenting combination. Best part about these pillows is that you can get them at Target!
Potterybarn Cable Knit Blanket
And lastly, nothing says fall like a chunky knit blanket that you can wrap yourself around in. They can be layed on your couch or placed in baskets for guests to use during a movie night. It’s pure comfort and most importantly, completely simple! These few tricks can help you make small updates to your home and bring some fall warmth.
It’s always about the details for me, and that’s my biggest rule when it comes to decorating. Especially with seasonal decor. Hope you enjoyed my post and if you have any favorite decor ideas comment below, we’d love to hear!
XOXO,
Kelly
