Today's post is all about easing into 2025 and cultivating goals & resolutions with a more thought out approach, but before we do, lets catch up a moment....
Happy Blessed New Year to you all, It's been a while since we blogged. The last time I wrote a blogpost it was just a couple days before my birthday (September) and we just hit the ground running with the busiest season we have had thus far. Somehow we were ahead of schedule for everything, so that easily creates and attracts abundance, we found ourselves fulfilling more orders with our gift shoppe, more shoots with our mini sessions and even film projects came to fruition. Thank you God for that! However, the free time we did still have, I dedicated to myself or was busy creating memories and magic for my family during the holidays. Still posted on the gram when I could, but took the pressure off of being consistent. I still plan to keep the pressure low this year when it comes to content creation, but with the mindset of producing quality and passionate posts. If I can create more time like I did in Q4, then I can truly hone in the energy and passion to resurface this blog.
In 2024 I really focused on my passion projects, new & old; Mind Body Soul Planners , Health & Wellness routines, Exploring Herbalism with my garden, Fine tuning business systems and strategies, travel, most importantly improving Time Management, which resulted in more personal time with family & self. I want to increase it even more for 2025, so here I am, planner filled with notes of what my focus is for MIND BODY & SOUL. You don't have to have new goals, or new resolutions , what I do recommend is asking and seeing what ways can you improve the three areas of your life: Mind Body & Soul.
There is no correct order as to which to work on first, I personally work on them simultaneously because they all blend and ripple effect when one is in focus...
MIND | How you focus and take on each day at home, in your career & life choices...
Systems to approach:
Is there a day or time of day where you list all the priorities you have to fulfill. How do you organize your work life, your personal time and home life.
Do not get your home life and personal life mixed. Your home life is essential for you to function at work and in personal. Your home life should, to the best of your ability, be organized, a safe haven. Calming. When you have shelter that provides you deep rest, it energizes the mind to make hard and important choices at work and/or personal. Map out the day you plan to organize and clean your home. Whether it's a specific day only or give a time frame to get "X" completed. There are tons of studies about how one can help themselves leave a state of stress and anxiety by organizing a messy corner of their home. Try it the next time you are feeling overwhelmed and stuck in emotion.
How do you map and schedule your work day? Does that need improving and/or better time management overall. For me, not having a regular 9-5 can be confusing and draining. However for me I've found block scheduling has worked best for me. Giving myself HARD deadlines with the reward being more time for personal time, is usually what motivates me. I love what I do, but it still takes a lot of work and isn't as glamorous as one may think.
If you have a 9-5 that gives you the opportunity to be done and not come home to work, stay the course and keep finishing or continue to grow whatever projects you have within work hours. The idea of having freedom when you leave those office doors should be motivation enough, you want that free time to explore and rest.
The last thing to see how to improve your MIND is making time for personal time. You need to pencil it in, you need to block out time for you, your mind needs to break from the nuances of work life and home life. SO SCHEDULE IT IN and make sure you work your ass off around it so you can completely let go (whatever that means to you).
BODY | How you nourish, strengthen and recover one's body
The obvious system is to find and create the time to move your body, find a nutrition plan that you can do and financially afford and what ways will you BIOHACK your body with rest and recovery.
Although we can do a deep dive on all the things that have worked for me and have been universal to my friends as well (more health performance posts here ) , I found the more important thing to do is create THREE PERFORMANCE VERSIONS of the way you move and nourish the body. I'm going to give my versions and examples of what I strive for in each, but please curate your versions that work for you and your ultimate personal goals of healthy lifestyle.
1st Version PEAK PRODUCTIVITY | Strength Train 6x a week, Recovery Flow 3x, Anti-Inflammatory Diet, 12-3-30 5x a week, Lymphatic drainage massage 5x a week, Vitamins 7x a week. 1 gallon of water.
2nd Version MID PRODUCTIVITY | Strength Train 4-5x a week, Recovery Flow 3x, Anti-Inflammatory Diet M-F, 12-3-30 4x a week, Lymphatic drainage massage 3x a week, Vitamins 7x a week. 3/4 of a gallon of water.
3rd Version LOW PRODUCTIVITY | Strength Train 3x a week, Recovery Flow 2x, Anti-Inflammatory- ISH Diet M-F, 12-3-30 3x a week, Lymphatic drainage massage 3x a week, Vitamins 7x a week . 3/4 of a gallon of water.
SOUL | The way you feed your Soul, hobbies, passion projects, spending time with loved ones, doing the things that make life worth living!
Feeding the soul is extremely important as it gives you a break with your mind and body need. You have to set time aside for hobbies, a social life, selfcare, you have to break up the routine from time to time to give your soul the spontaneity and excitement it needs. I can tell you that you will find activities in your Mind & Body sector that will essentially feed the soul as well. However those are discoveries you will make later on when you are well into your routine ( if you haven't already). Please "pencil it in", put it in your calendars, your planners, the post-it on your bathroom mirror. The other big ask I will ask you to do, is find shorter activities or some type of soulful enjoyment that you can experience each day. Maybe it a few pages from a book, trying out a new recipe, listening to a podcast while you eat, or spending sometime with yourself or a loved one and planning out an activity or upcoming trip.
Everyday, especially during the work week, I try to do a few things that feed my soul. I'll listen to a podcast while getting ready for the day, while cleaning, or while driving. I'll practice painting in my watercolor workbook. Prune, harvest, stroll or meditate in my garden. Journal and create collages for the current or upcoming month, or have a date night or girls night in! The possibilities are endless, I'm simply giving you ideas of all the random things I do that feel good and keep me feeling grounded.
So as we ease into 2025, I hope this post was a positive no stress and clarified approach on how to just improve on what you currently have going on. Foster ways to fulfill your day to day, simplify your life, improve to the best of your ability your core values and you'll see how incredibly clear and powerful you get within reach of whatever goals or resolutions you may have!
HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS,
Caro
