Four Ingredient Healthy Marshmallows

Herbalism has been a fun way to explore holistic remedies, but this year I want to create more food based meals, snacks and sweets that revolve around some of the infusions I’ve made…Which brings me to #marshmallows there are a ton of nutritional benefits in gelatin and this is a fun way to eat them. I chose grass fed by Great Lakes Wellness Beef. I also plan to make the traditional type, but for now, I'm limited the amount of sugar i contain (I'm still having it but if I'm going to indulge, I prefer it in cake or patisserie style confections lol)


The 4 ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of gelatin ( pic a good quality gelatin, the point of this is to snack on beneficial foods)

  • 1 cup of water

  • 1 cup of maple syrup

  • 1 tsp of Vanilla Extract


You’ll be surprised to 1) never buy marshmallows again 2) how easy it is and 3) I find it taste like a less sweeter version of the OG’s, maybe a little thicker than the non-healthy ones but still sweet enough. Don’t ask me how many I’ve eaten. It's a nice alternative if you are itching for a something sweet.


I think I'll even use cookie cutters to create cute themes, say valentine hearts dipped in dark chocolate.
