Where were you when you found out that Practical Magic 2 was happening?
I was working in my shop, having my second cup of coffee admiring my newly framed print of an amazing artist that paints and creates prints of different scenes of the Practical Magic home on Magnolia St.. you see a day or so before WB's Tiktok had released a teaser video of candles with the titles " Midnight on TIKTOK" with the caption mentioning Midnight Margaritas. At first everyone was freaking out, maybe we are finally getting a sequel. Then at midnight the post was deleted with no resolve. It clearly sparked interest. The following day they posted "now available on max, Practical Magic"... but then the next day WB and Alice Hoffman herself confirmed on socials " Practical Magic 2" and every 90's girl lost their shit. Which I appreciate and the ladies in my family and friend circle were sharing back and fourth all types of reels and memes packed with serotonin.
I'm so happy the announcement came in the summer time, which truly is when Practical Magic season starts, as the entire books series revolves around the summer solstice season. Not to mention it's when my mother, sister and I start watching it to escape the summer heat outside and shamelessly start dreaming about our upcoming fall plans. I know we aren't alone in this as we joyfully have friends that feel the same. Especially our friends that join in to create a faux "Pre-Fall Season" which basically starts August first. It's a state of mind, where any South East person is pretending they feel a sense of change in the winds, when really it's going from hot to hotter ('til maybe Dec).
So because it's after 4th of July and I only have a few weeks left of summer vibes, until Fall takes over, I wanted to share some Practical Magic finds that I've bought in the past year or so to either treat yourself or to gift to a fellow witchy lover. Take a look at my buys and Wishlist items to get into the mood and celebration of 25 years (and counting) of the return of PRACTICAL MAGIC!

Enjoy these wonderful PRACTICAL MAGIC finds and buys
1| Prints and Paintings by Ansell Mountain | For Mother's day I purchased a few prints to gift my mother and treat myself lol. My mom is working on turning my old room into a cozy quarters for herself to enjoy reading, crafting, holiday wrapping and all the amazing creative projects she does. Which also means decor will be whimsical and bursting with magic. So naturally I felt a large print to adorn her walls would be perfect addition to all the amazing pieces she is lining up ( also got as few prints for my giftshop in hopes patrons will recognize it!). Bonus she adds free stickers with your print purchases, which is how I landed this awesome sticker of the Practical Magic home that now rests on my Stanley. You can find her artwork for purchase on etsy BUY HERE
2| Midnight Margarita Keychain | I was in the mood for a witchy themed keychain to replace my B&B Works crystal ball hand sanitizer holder. It's great to have attached to find my keys when they get lost in the abyss of my bags, but bulky when I wear a small purse. Which lead me to find a PM themed one. It's in the style of a vintage motel keychain but upgrade and a beautifully crafted piece of work! BUY HERE
3| Black Magic Soap | Laura, from the Enchanted Journal, is an incredible artist and aside from creating paintings and installations she also makes handmade good inspired by the series. If you are familiar with the books, then you recognized "Black Magic Soup" and wanted a stack of your own at some point! Well, Laura has beautifully manifest the soap off the paper and on our bathroom counters. The soaps are a precious addition to your bathroom and any friend you know who loves natural goods for their skincare. She also has face serums to add too! BUY HERE
4| Practical Magic Sticker Bundle | Whether you plan to deck out your Stanleys or laptops or snail mail to a friend, this bundle is great to start with. BUY HERE
5| Sally Owen's famous quote and letter to sister Gilly Owen's | Another piece I've been eyeing myself to add to my giftshop is this loving framed work by Laura. Pressed Lavender for luck, the letter to her sister that she wrote in hope and desperation. I think it's one of those gifts you give to a diehard fan and they place it their she-shed or special corner of trinkets... those who get it, get it. BUY HERE
I do plan on expanding on this list of Practical Magic themed gifts, but in the meantime I hope you enjoyed my current finds and buys of goods. If you are in the mood to get an idea of what is to come with the future film, apparently it is based of the final book in the series " The Book of Magic" by Alice Hoffman. Now if you didn't know this, the film, although had elements of the text, it was truly it's own storyline. Which i do think they di a great job at. I'm curious as to what they will do with it in the end, but while you wait, I say read it. You can technically read each of these books without picking up the other as it will fill in pieces of any information you may need to know. Which is great for anyone wanting to just pick up the last book BUT if you want to be swept away in Practical Magic World, start in the beginning, and they are as follows:
